President Xi Jinping Appoints New Ambassadors

Recently, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:

I. Xu Feihong was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of India, replacing Sun Weidong.

II. Fu Cong was appointed Permanent Representative and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations, replacing Zhang Jun.

III. Cong Peiwu was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Islamic Republic of Iran, replacing Chang Hua.

IV. Chang Hua was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, replacing Chen Weiqing.

V. Yang Renhuo was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, replacing Guo Ce.

VI. Liu Weimin was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Tonga, replacing Cao Xiaolin.

VII. Chu Maoming was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Commonwealth of Dominica, replacing Lin Xianjiang.

VIII. Li Xiang was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the State of Eritrea, replacing Cai Ge.
