Ambassador Lu Shaye Meets with Former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien

On April 4th, after assuming his post, Ambassador Lu Shaye paid a courtesy call on Jean Chretien, former Canadian Prime Minister.

 
Ambassador Lu spoke highly of the important contributions made by Jean Chretien to promoting the development of China-Canada relations, and hoped he could continuously play a positive role in boosting bilateral friendly cooperation in the new "Golden Era". Jean Chretien recalled his delightful experience of visiting China for several times, and noted that both countries are "natural cooperative partners", adding that he will continue to support the development of bilateral relations and China's development. Both sides also exchanged views on bilateral cooperation in economy, trade, investment and etc.

After the meeting, Jean Chretien gave an autobiography named A Passion for Politics with his autograph as a keepsake to Ambassador Lu.
