Ambassador Cong said, China has full confidence in Cuba's victory over the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to firmly support Cuba's efforts in fighting the pandemic. As the pandemic is the common threat of humankind, solidarity is the international community's most needed weapon to overcome it. We strongly oppose the politicization of the epidemic by some countries. China stands ready to cooperate with the international society, including Cuba, in fighting against the virus to tide over the current difficulties.

Ambassador Vidal thanked China for providing Cuba with assistance and support in responding to the pandemic and appreciated China's important role in international anti-epidemic cooperation. She also expressed that Cuba is willing to strengthen cooperation with China to work together to maintain global public health security and jointly oppose politicizing the epidemic.
