We are shocked to learn of the passing away of Madam Isabel Crook, an old friend of the Chinese people and one of the recipients of the Friendship Medal of the People's Republic of China, on August 20, and would like to express our deep condolences and sincere sympathies to her family. Madam Isabel Crook witnessed the historical process of the Chinese revolution from hardship to victory, and made outstanding contributions to China’s education and friendly exchanges with foreign countries. She will be remembered by the Chinese people forever.
