On April 19, the Chinese Embassy in Canada, in collaboration with the Alberta Young Entrepreneurs Association of Canada and the Canada Chinese Business Club, successfully held the IMAX screening of Ne Zha 2 in Ottawa. More than 200 people from all walks of life in Canada attended the event.
Minister Counsellor Li Yuanling of the Embassy stressed in his speech that movies are a bridge for communication between different cultures. The Canadian public is welcome to experience the unique charm and contemporary innovation of Chinese culture through Chinese movies. The Chinese Embassy in Canada is committed to continuing its collaboration with all walks of life in Canada to hold more cultural exchange events.
The event featured special activities such as photo opportunities at the "media wall" and the distribution of limited-edition movie merchandise including official character cards and posters. Before the movie screening, young diplomats from the Chinese Embassy introduced the background of the movie and conducted a Q&A session with the on-site audience.
