On May 12, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to Canada H.E. Wang Di met with the Honourable Scott Moe, Premier of Saskatchewan in Regina. He was accompanied by Chinese Consul General in Calgary Ms. Zhao Liying.
Ambassador Wang highlighted that China and Saskatchewan have had fruitful cooperation in the areas of trade, agriculture, people-to-people exchanges and so on, which has brought tangible benefits to the people of both sides. China is ready to continue to deepen cooperation with Saskatchewan to contribute to each other’s economic development and improve people's livelihood. Premier Moe stressed that Saskatchewan attaches importance to its relations with China and is ready to continue to strengthen practical cooperation with China and expand and deepen cooperation between the two sides.
Ambassador Wang also had talks with Chinese students, scholars and the Chinese community in Regina. He encouraged them to continue to play the role of a bridge for better China-Canada friendship. The Ambassador also met with Mr. Todd Goudy, Speaker of Saskatchewan Legislature, Ministers of Agriculture and Education of Saskatchewan, and President of the University of Regina Dr. Jeff Keshen.
