On June 7, the Chinese Embassy in Canada participated in the annual "Doors Open Ottawa" event, welcoming over 600 visitors.

The year 2025 marks several milestones: the 55th anniversary of China-Canada diplomatic ties, the 20th anniversary of the China-Canada strategic partnership, and the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. In this context, the Embassy curated several photo exhibitions themed on China-Canada relations, the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and China's green development respectively, and a "mini expo" featuring Chinese-funded companies in Canada. Visitors were guided to revisit the original aspirations of China-Canada diplomatic ties, bear in mind the history of the Chinese People's War of Resistance, and witness China's achievements in various fields as well as the fruits of practical cooperation between China and Canada. The event also featured cultural performances of tea art, calligraphy, painting and paper-cutting.

Visitors were deeply attracted by the photo exhibitions and cultural displays, and had frequent exchanges in excitement with the staff. They wrote in the guest books that the unique and informative event provided a window to learn about China, and expressed hopes for ever-growing China-Canada relations and lasting friendship between the two peoples.
