Toronto, January 25th–The CPC Delegation led by Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held a special briefing session on the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress here. Representatives of various Canadian circles including the government, parliament, political parties, industrial and commercial circles, think tank, and universities were present.

Song comprehensively introduced the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s keynote speech at the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-level Meeting, introduced China’s historic changes since the 18th CPC National Congress and the changes of the principal contradiction of the Chinese society, as well as expounded the spiritual essence, rich connotation and global significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. He stressed that the 19th CPC National Congress has drawn the development blueprint for China from now to the middle of this century and announced China’s sincere wishes to promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind and to jointly build a better world with various sides, which will bring new opportunities for the development of China-Canada relations.

Personages from various circles of Canada expressed that the 19th CPC National Congress has drawn the development blueprint for China’s development, which not only carries important significance for China, but also exerts profound influence on the world. Canada values the new opportunities for cooperation between China and Canada in various fields brought by the 19th CPC National Congress and stands ready to work with China to further intensify exchanges and cooperation in various fields, so as to push China-Canada relations for constant and forward-looking development.

The delegation also presented the report to the 19th CPC National Congress, the second volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China and the English version of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s keynote speech at the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-level Meeting to the guests present at the session.
