Chinese Embassy in Canada has recently held exchange events with the University of Ottawa and Concordia University, attended by embassy diplomats and more than 60 students from the two universities.

Diplomats from the Embassy explained the core essence and global significance of the concept of building a community with a shared future for humanity and the “four global initiatives”. They also elaborated on the outcomes of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s visit to China and the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, and engaged in in-depth discussions with students on topics such as China’s development achievements, China-Canada relations, practical cooperation between the two sides, and people-to-people exchanges.

The atmosphere at the event was friendly and lively, with students asking questions frequently. When sharing their views on China–Canada relations, they noted that the relationship has “great potential” and “is full of hope”, “China is an important partner for Canada” and “China-Canada relations are mutually beneficial”. They also wished to have opportunities to visit or study in China and to contribute to strengthening friendship between the two countries.
