On October 30, the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security released the National Cyber Threat Assessment Report 2025-2026, which uses a lot of vague expressions such as “may” and “might” to levy groundless accusations against China, which is completely untenable. China firmly opposes this and will never accept it.

China is a staunch defender of cybersecurity, and at the same time one of the biggest victims of hacker and cyber attacks. The Chinese government resolutely opposes and combats all forms of cyber attacks in accordance with the law, and will not allow any country or individual to engage in cyberattacks or other similar illegal activities within China’s territory or by utilizing China’s infrastructure. China believes that cyber security is a common challenge faced by all countries, and advocates that all countries work together to address the threats through dialogue and cooperation.

China urges the Canadian side to immediately stop the wrongful practice of politicizing and stigmatizing the issue of cyber security, and to stop using the issue of cyber security to smear China.
