Effective since January 17, 2025, the Immigration Department (ImmD) of HKSAR Government further promotes electronic services for visa applications. Applicants of the following visa categories, namely employment, talents, investment, training, working holiday scheme, and residence as dependents, should submit their applications for entry or extension of stay by electronic services to the ImmD. The ImmD no longer accepts application documents submitted in person or by mail. The Chinese Embassy and Consulates-General in Canada no longer collects the above-mentioned application documents as well.
