On 2nd December, Ambassador Zhang Junsai met with Mr. Jeff Johnson, the new President of Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) and Minister of Education of Alberta.

Ambassador Zhang congratulated Mr. Jonson on assuming the post of President of CMEC and commended the continued efforts made by CMEC to promote the bilateral educational cooperation. Both sides exchanged views on issues including the Third High-Level Consultation on Education Collaboration between China and Canada, which is scheduled in February 2014, the bilateral student and teacher exchanges, increasing the number of two-way students to 100,000, running Confucius Institute study in Canada, and teaching Chinese language and culture.
