On 22th January, Ambassador Zhang Junsai delivered a keynote speech themed “Staunch Reform for Development of Win-win Results” at Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. Professor Peter Pauly, Dean of the Rotman School of Management, and over 200 people including scholars and students of the University of Toronto and members from local business communities attended the event.

In the speech, Ambassador Zhang introduced China’s new reform agenda unveiled at the Third Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and stressed that China will stick to the win-win strategy of opening-up during the process of reform and development. He encouraged Canadian business communities to seize the opportunities brought about by China’s deepening of reform and further strengthen the bilateral cooperation for shared development.

Ambassador Zhang condemned the Japanese Prime Minister Abe’s visit to Yasukuni Shrine in last December, called on the Canadian people to recognize the harm done by Japanese right-wing forces led by Abe and safeguard along with China historical justice and regional peace and stability.
Ambassador Zhang also answered questions about Shanghai free trade zone, the opening of China’s service industry, China’s finance reform and so on.
